CITY FOOTBALL GROUP

City Football Group is a holding company established with the aim of overseeing the creation and development of a network of interconnected clubs and other football projects under the aegis of Manchester City. The holding is controlled by the Abu Dhabi fund (ADUG) which holds 78% of the shares while 12% belongs to the Chinese of China Media Capital and Citic Capital. Finally 10% is owned by the Americans of Silver Lake Partners. The Abu Dhabi United Group is a UAE based private equity company founded and owned in the summer of 2008 from Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

the City Football Group announced on September 3 the acquisition of its tenth club, Esperance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne (ESTAC) – known as Troyes – a company that plays in Ligue 2, the second French football division, this confirms the will to invest and the continuous expansion of the CFG in world football and its development strategy linked to the acquisition of clubs, players and to establish Academy, for a continuous sharing of knowledge.
The CFG will become the new majority shareholder of the company, after buying the shares held by the former owner, Daniel Masoni. French businessman Maxime Ray has also acquired a minority stake in the club and will occupy a seat on the board.
