A Merry Christmas to all fans and supporters of this beautiful sport, we have lived a difficult year where we all had interesting and long-lasting projects that were interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, we can hope for a better year and to say thank because this year that is ending despite all the difficulties we have brought it to safety and we have managed to extricate ourselves from the considerable obstacles that have stood between us and our future projects.
The world of football is capable of giving unique emotions and finding the remedy to be able to return to the stadium the next year will be a good rematch for all the fans on the planet, many teams of the minor leagues, I am referring for example to the Lega Pro in Italy, to the third division in the other countries, not to mention the lower categories, which have experienced just that day, this perfect storm that risked taking everything away, having had the collapse of the few revenues that companies could count on to keep their companies quiet from an economic point of view.
Living the football matches on TV without the public was a real punch in the stomach, and as many insiders have repeatedly confirmed it is another sport, despite the games being broadcast by national and international television networks. The hope is that everything possible has been saved by avoiding the bankruptcy of some clubs and the difficulty of paying the high salaries of the players, with the help of the sports institutions and the players’ association, an agreement has been reached for an extension of the salary payments, postponed by a few months and where the reduction of around 10-20% of the current salary of the whole squad had been accepted.
As conclusion, I wish everyone a peaceful and happy Christmas, with the possibility of returning next year to be on the stages of stadiums around the world, with a new strength and energy, ready to return emotions and happiness, that football used to get used to after this bad period.
