The strange situation that we lived during the week it was a signal of request of changement in the the organization in the world of global football. The official proposal to a championship called “SuperLeague” where the teams are selected esclusively on base of fan audience and from historical target achieved, hasn’t had a good impact because appear like a close competition where the effort and the competition are reduced to mere spectacle, totally changing this sport.
Our proposal that probably will be accepted by many stakeholders of the football industry, consist in the creation of unique European level of European Premier League/Liga Europea, where we have to establish criteria to access not only based on economic-financial aspects but especially with criteria of merit based on the competitions won, and in the same time to establish for example how we organize a second level means Championship at European level and which are the teams that could be part in this second league and following of this way until the last level in each country of Europe.
We propose to consider Europe as one Nation to build a structure where for example Champions League are the new La Liga/Premier League/Serie A, and the actual Europa League we can consider the second level present in each country, for example, Serie B in Italy, Secunda Division in Spain or Championship League in England.
While we must consider as the model of economic-financial redistribution what we use in the English Premier League to bring almost all teams that can participate to this League to show that is professional to invest in some players or in the structures (think to scout model and the investment to the youth training center to discover future champions) that give a possibility to earn money and to remain in the category.
A final discussion it is right to search a Changement but we have to utilize the value of total inclusion and to merit it on criteria sport, if we talk about the organization nothing related to private tournaments and from the economic-financial side the redistribution of resources equal to all teams in the same category on the model of the English Premier League, especially of resources that come from television rights, with a small difference based on the sporting position at the final season and the fan base.
